*le sigh* so i just can't catch a break....
some manager in the office has taken it upon her whoreish self to change the breed list... and my baby's under attack. my bf is slowly trying to get me to acknowledge the fact that she may have to leave.
but she doesn't have anywhere to go!!!!!!
my mom's getting divorced, they're selling the house and she's already moved into an apartment. so she can't take her. my grandma hates dogs. my dad and stepmom have one and he's old and cranky... they don't want another. i wouldn't trust my only cousin old enough to have a dog and who has a house. the rest of my family hate my dog on princple alone.
ARGH!!!!! and.... on top of that, the neighbor who lives below us... now has beef.
while my bf and i were out at a company dinner saturday night, his friend was there with the pups, he texted Clay and let him know that the guy down below (a cop) came and told him that his fiance just got out of the hospital (or something like that) and has been trying this past week to ignore our dogs but can't anymore. she can't get to sleep b/c of the noise. (not barking so much as me and the bf playing with them, the zoomies, etc) He said he works nights and sleep days and has no issue with our dogs... he doesn't care either way but he cares that she's upset.
SO... we come home after dinner, puppies get excited to see us... then they settle down after about 4 or so minutes. well, right after they settle down, there's a knock on our bedroom door - it's the bf's friend saying the lady is outside. she complains to my bf since i was a tad bit drunk. he comes in irritated and tells me AGAIN that he's getting tired of ppl attacking Babygirl and him having to cover. he says he loves me, he loves her, but it's now my issue. oh well. SO.... i couldn't sleep due to indigestion and got up at like 330 in the morning and wrote a letter. WDYT???
Mrs. Apartment 2025:
I would like to start off by extending my sympathies and well wishes for your speedy recovery. I have been informed that our play with our dogs in the evening is preventing your recovery from being as smooth as it could be, and I'd like to apologize for that.
When I come home from work, the dogs are very excited to see me, and I assume this is when they are causing the most difficulties for you. I will make attempts to make this chaos as short in duration as possible.
Likewise, if you could let me know which hours you desire the most quiet, I'll make extra attempts to keep things calm while you're in your recovery phase.
Please feel free to give me a text or a call and I’d be more than happy to go down and speak with you about this. I do hope that we can resolve this to both our satisfactions.
Sincerely, Alix Kroninger (Ms. 2035)
the lease we signed didn't list AmStaff or Staffie or Bull Terrier or w/e. all Babygirl's paperwork (vets, petsmart petshotel, petsmart groomers, etc) list her as amstaff.
the lease listed: dobies, dalmations, rotts, GSD, chows, and a few others.
well, when the apartment office ppl came to deliver a notice about our water, they 'discovered' her in her crate in the closed bedroom. see, we told them we were coming with Loki and had already spoken to them prior to the water notice that we were gonna be bringing in another dog. at the time we moved i was jobless and broke and we didn't have the $500 for a two dog deposit.
well, when someone opens/unlocks my front door, my pups start getting excited and bark. they think mommy or daddy is home. so a few days later, there was ANOTHER notice saying we'd violated our lease. that they had come in due to 'barking problems' and found an 'illegal' dog. we thought they meant that we hadn't paid the deposit yet... which we were on the first. but when the bf went and spoke with them, they said it wasn't the $$ - it was the dog. that she was a pit bull and couldn't stay. he tried to nicely inform them that on the lease, her breed, AMSTAFF, wasn't listed... the lady then said "it was an oversight by former management. the list is supposed to comprise of ALL viscious dogs. it'll be remedied." so, no "grandfathering her in" or anything. she's being a real whore about it.
Mainly, I'M angered b/c this is a pet-friendly complex with no weight limit... you can have a St. Bernard if you want to so long as you pay the rent and deposit. and yes, i feel bad that she's not feeling well.... but it's just kinda tough luck that there were NO 1st floor units opening until march... so we took what we could and got stuck on 3rd floor. it's not my fault that she got the short straw in life when it came to this. but to me, it's just that - bad luck. i'm sorry i have a 55lb dog and two guys and i walk heavy. i'm sorry we go to bed kinda late. we're young and like to stay up and talk and watch movies. we don't throw wild parties... we don't scream out in the stairwells... we're not obnoxious in the sense that w emight be considering our age and friends. my bf and i are in the process of cleaning up our credit so that when this lease is up in nov we can get a house. we want a yard for the dogs. and the reason we even CHOSE this place was b/c they didn't list pits on their restriced list... but now that lady is saying it was an oversight by prior management and that they hadn't found a reason to revise the lease aggreement but now they will. i want to try and talk to them about the fact that we in fact singed the lease under the understanding that we could bring my dog b/c she wasn't on the list. and that it was misleading information since they're now trying to make us get rid of her.
god i love my babies.... i HATE HATE HATE people sometimes. can't they see that dogs deserve to be judged on an individual basis?!?! i'm not a bad owner... i have a very sweet dog. she's a lover - not a fighter. literally. the only danger ppl face from her is you may not have makeup left when you leave b/c she'll kiss it off. or you may be forced to endure her using you as a pillow while she snores on you. i feel like crying. i'm so upset....
how can ANYone see this face and tell me that she's a killer. and no, she's not a puppy. she's a few weeks shy of a year old. she won't get any bigger. she's not one of those mutated 'pit bulls' thugs breed with human aggressive dogs like GSDs/Cane Corsos/etc to have a 'mean dog'. she's so submissive... my little aussie cattle pup bosses her around!!!http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y45/txncowgrlsoccerqt/babies.jpg
